The The first two images were converted to black & white. I chose this process for two reasons, Black & white is a classic look for wedding photos and also has the ability to turn an average photo into something special.
The first photo was cropped to bring the focus back onto the couple and off of the less than appealing back drop. I also retouched the pamphlet rack hanging on the wall in the background to reduce the environmental clutter in the image.
The second photo was cropped just slightly to enhance the composition and minimize the background.

The next two images were kept as color images because we wanted the beauty of the surrounding landscape to come through.
The first image was taken on an outside patio area and the plastic chairs were not cleared out before the photo was snapped. In addition, the exposure was off and as a result the sky lacks adequate detail. Exposure was adjusted, patio furniture was removed, background was rebuilt where necessary, and the sky was replaced.
The second image is a really nice photo of the couple but it contains a lot of information that is drawing the focus away from the subject. The photo was cropped to enhance the composition and bring the focus back onto the couples beautiful smiles and I punched up the vibrancy of the plant life.
